OVERVIEW
69th Annual Meeting of Indiana Association of Pathologists (IAP) Spring Slide Seminar is organized by Indiana Association of Pathologists (IAP) and will be held on Apr 28, 2018 at Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, Indiana, United States of America. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 6.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Course Objectives
• Achieve understanding of practical guidelines as to how to deal with these problematic biopsies.
• Know basic histologic features of the most common gastric polyps, and apply them in diagnosis.
• Recognize the importance of serrated polyps and gain a competent approach to dealing with them.
• Attendees will learn the histopathology of a wide variety of types of esophagitis including reflux, esonophilic, lymphocytic, sloughing, pill-induced and infectious.
• Attendees will learn the histopathology of celiac disease as well as its differential diagnosis.
• Attendees will learn to identify a wide variety of infections in the GI tract.
Building Bridges:
Physicians who are not pathologists may recognize that the learning opportunity of this seminar may help close a practice gap of their own. Non- pathologists are generally not eligible for membership with the IAP. However, we welcome these physicians and they may attend the meeting at the IAP member price.
This live CME activity combines lecture and slide case presentations, with opportunity for discussion during an allday session. Attendees receive learning feedback with the use of quizzes. Attendees may also take an online SAMs quiz for American Board of Pathology approved credit.
