2018 AANS Coding Essentials for Neurosurgeons is organized by American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and will be held on Aug 25, 2018 at Hyatt Regency O'Hare, Rosemont, Illinois, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is chief residents, fellows and new graduates going into neurosurgical practice who need an introduction to neurosurgical coding. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 5.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Course Description:
This one-day, interactive seminar covers the fundamentals of neurosurgical coding and expert faculty will provide personalized, in-depth instruction for application of the CPT and guideline changes. Correct coding is essential to ensure financial success in the first years of practice and to keep in compliance.
Learning Objectives:
• Explain the origins of CPT Codes, RVUs and RUC.
• Identify and apply correct CPT codes for basic cranial and spine procedures.
• Describe components of E&M levels and service.
