OVERVIEW

19th Annual Duke Anesthesiology Conference: Controversies in Perioperative Medicine is organized by Duke University School of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology and will be held during Jun 18 - 22, 2018 at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Orlando, Florida, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical events is anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurse anesthetists, perioperative nurses, students and all health care providers involved in the perioperative care of patients. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 31.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Conference Overview:
Over the course of five days, we will discuss issues surrounding the management of patients undergoing surgery via lectures, panel discussions, lively debates and hands-on practical workshops.

The conference will offer a comprehensive curriculum focused on surgery, anesthesia, and critical care. We will have both plenary sessions and small group workshops for participants to familiarize themselves with new equipment and techniques.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Describe evidence-based management of perioperative issues in complex surgical patients
Describe the value of imaging in perioperative medicine
Review the current understanding of strategies to enhance post-surgical outcomes
