17th Annual Early Hearing Detection & Intervention (EHDI) Meeting

17th Annual Early Hearing Detection & Intervention (EHDI) Meeting is organized by American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), National Center for Hearing Assessment & Management (NCHAM) and will be held during Mar 18 - 21, 2018 at Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center, Denver, Colorado, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event is State EHDI program staff members, Audiologists, Physicians and other Health Care Providers, Families of children with hearing loss, Early Intervention Specialists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Advocates, Representatives from the major organizations working with EHDI programs, Students.

The goal of the annual EHDI Meeting is to enhance the implementation of comprehensive state-based Early hearing detection and Intervention (EHDI) programs. After participating in the meeting, participants will be better able to:

Identify and promote knowledge and awareness of successful strategies for implementing comprehensive state-based EHDI programs that include screening, audiology diagnostic evaluation, early intervention, medical home, reporting, tracking, surveillance, loss to follow-up issues, data integration, and other related surveillance components.

Interpret and describe current research and research methods related to EHDI.

Examine cultural competence of providers and assess their ability to work with children who are deaf or hard of hearing, their families, and communities.
