16th National Conference on Adolescents and Young Adults is organized by U.S. Journal Training Inc and will be held during Apr 25 - 27, 2018 at Tropicana Las Vegas, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event is Mental Health, Addictions Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, School Counseling, Registered Nursing, Courts and Corrections, Prevention, Employee Assistance, Pastoral Counseling, And Other Fields. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 25 hours.

Course Description:
This conference will highlight up-to-date perspectives and research in the ever-changing field of Adolescents and Young Adults. Their special needs, vulnerabilities, risks and developmental issues in an environment of a substance-abusing society will be explored. Counseling and therapeutic strategies will be discussed while considering an array of issues to include family, sexuality, influence of social media and personal development.

Course Objectives:
• To identify treatment approaches for successfully treating adolescents and young adults with chemical dependence, trauma, co-occurring disorders and other psychological and behavioral issues.
• To be able to discern symptoms and characteristics manifested in these disorders and to diminish/correct their negative impact on the client’s interpersonal and family relationships.
• To identify the impact of trauma, depression and anxiety on youth and best practices for treatment and how to bolster resilience.
• To identify advances in the assessment of at-risk factors for adolescents and young adults and their treatment.
