Valve Disease and Diastology Summit is organized by Cleveland Clinic Foundation and would be held during Mar 4 - 6, 2017 at Eden Roc Miami Beach Hotel, Miami Beach, Florida, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event for Noninvasive and invasive cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, sonographers, nurses, fellows, cardiology nurse practitioners, and physician assistants will benefit from attending this Summit. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 18 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
The Cleveland Clinic Valve Disease and Diastology Summit will focus on valve disease,
particularly the newest issues of structural valve interventions. About a third of the Summit will
emphasize echocardiographic and clinical evaluation of diastolic dysfunction. The Summit will
provide a unique opportunity to receive updates in new and emerging topics related to imaging
techniques, including three dimensional echocardiography, strain imaging, and echo guidance
of transcatheter therapies.
Conference Objectives :
• Assess the most recent innovations in structural valve interventions and describe their
clinical use
• Translate guideline criteria on imaging into current decision-making regarding structural
valve interventions and surgical valve repair and replacement
• Describe clinical methods to diagnose diastolic dysfunction and manage disorders such as
heart failure with normal ejection fraction, pericardial constriction, amyloid heart disease,
and pericardial tamponade
• Provide updates on new and emerging topics related to imaging techniques including 3D
echocardiography, strain imaging, and echo guidance of transcatheter therapies
• Utilize echocardiographic imaging for imaging before, during, and after procedures,
including transcatheter valve replacement, closure of periprosthetic leaks, septal defect
closure, and edge-to-edge mitral repair
• Demonstrate how to use 3D echo and strain imaging to assess diastolic function and
valve disease
• Discuss role of clinical indications and emerging uses of contrast echocardiography
