Updates in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and Intensive Physician Board Review Course is organized by University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and would be held during Oct 10 - 12, 2017 at MD Anderson R. Lee Clark Clinic, Houston, Texas, United States Of America.
The target audience for this medical event for hospice and palliative care physicians, medical oncologists, family practice physicians, anesthesiologists, psychiatrists, fellows, advance practice nurses, and other health care professionals involved in hospice and palliative care. This cme conference has been approved with a maximum of 26.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Conference Objectives are :
• Interpret spiritual, legal and medical issues facing patients at end-of-life (knowledge, competence);
• Provide optimal end-of-life care including symptom management, psychosocial support and state-of-the-art pain management (knowledge, competence, performance, patient outcomes);
• Demonstrate effective communication techniques with patients in the advanced stages of cancer or debilitating disease and provide quality end-of-life care (knowledge, competence, performance, patient outcomes);
• Identify non-cancer conditions needing palliative care (knowledge, competence).
