The Overhead Athlete Conference: Evidence-Based Examination & Treatment of the Pediatric Pitcher & Hitter is organized by Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and would be held during Apr 08, 2017 at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati, Ohio, United States of America.
Conference Objectives :
By the end of the conference each course participant shall be able to:
• Appreciate the inherent intrinsic and extrinsic risk factors associated with baseball pitching in youth athletes.
• Identify the latest techniques in surgical medical management of shoulder and elbow conditions unique to the youth overhead athlete and apply evidence-based principles when designing a rehabilitation program.
• Implement soft tissue mobilization and joint mobilization techniques to the upper extremity of youth overhead athletes as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation program.
• State the criteria necessary to safely return a youth overhead athlete back to pitching and hitting.
• Identify throwing faults and implement techniques to address these faults in a youth overhead athlete.
• Implement both early-state and end-stage evidence-based rehabilitation techniques for the pediatric thrower and hitter as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation strategy.
