Course description : -
This symposium is designed to present the most recent information on clinical practice issues
facing anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists. A diverse faculty will provide an update
on cardiac anesthesia, thoracic and vascular anesthesia, critical care for surgical patients,
neuroanesthesia, non-operating room anesthesia, and ambulatory anesthesia.
Conference Objectives are :
• Describe current anesthetic practice issues for patients undergoing cardiac procedures
• Describe evaluation and anesthesia management of patients undergoing ambulatory surgical
procedures
• Discuss the challenges associated with anesthesia approaches in critical care
• Identify and address anesthesia challenges encountered during radiation procedures
• Identify techniques for cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• List issues that can have an impact on anesthesia management in patients undergoing
thoracic or vascular procedures
• Summarize strategies for mechanical ventilation for various surgical procedures
• Utilize new techniques and technologies for neuroanesthesia management
