The conference will provide practitioners with the most recent advances and information that will enhance knowledge, skills, and performance in the evaluation and treatment of gastro-esophageal reflux diseases.
Conference Objectives :
• Discuss the pathophysiologic mechanisms, risk factors, clinical presentation and diagnosis of reflux disease
• Review appropriate patient work-up for suspected reflux disease
• Examine reported side effects and complications of long-term PPI use
• Identify new, advanced and therapeutic treatment options for definitive management of GERD
• Evaluate the results of myotomy endoscopic and laparoscopic surgical treatment for achalasia
• Recognize newer endoscopic and less invasive options for treatment of GERD
• Identify the mechanisms of failure after laparoscopic fundoplication and patient’s management options
