Pursuing Excellence in Pulmonology - Trends, Advances and Latest Knowledge in Sleep (PEPTALKS 2017)

The Philippine College of Chest Physicians, the premier specialty society in respiratory medicine in the country, will be holding its 36th Annual Chest Convention in March 7 to 10, 2017 at the Philippine International Convention Center, Manila. For year 2017, the Chest convention will be organised together with the 4th ASEAN Sleep Congress. This year’s theme is “PEP TALKS: Pursuing Excellence in Pulmonology / Trends Advances and Latest Knowledge in Sleep”.

The official program of the ASEAN Sleep Congress features two (2) plenary lectures, nine (9) convention symposia and two (2) peer to peer sessions.

The Plenary Lecture is a comprehensive 40 minute talk covering the continuum of developing concepts and approaches to management and treatment of sleep medicine.

Each convention symposium features three 20-minute lectures on a specified topic or a site-of-care concern in sleep medicine. These are concise updates for interested clinicians and sleep professionals. A total of twenty-seven (27) lectures are featured over the two days.

The peer-to-peer session allows a round table exchange of ideas, facilitated by a moderator, with the session output being summarized by a rapporteur. This program has been approved for a maximum of 19.75 contact hours Continuing Sleep Technology Education (CSTE) credit by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists.
