• A practical approach to the problems that arise from peri-operative complications in anaesthesia in the light of latest evidence.
• The incidence, management and prevention of both serious complications (i.e can’t intubate) and frequently occurring complications (regional anaesthesia, obstetrics).
• The increasing proportion of obese patiets and their associated peri-operative risks.
• How to handle the medico-legal aspects of peri-operative complications before they have occurred, including the importance of considering human factors in anaesthetic practice.
