OVERVIEW
Pediatric Transplant ID Symposium is organized by Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society (PIDS) and would be held on Mar 9, 2017 at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee, United States of America. The target audience for this medical event are Fellows and faculty in pediatric infectious diseases and transplantation medicine as well as other healthcare providers with an interest in transplant ID.
Objectives :
• Update on current diagnosis, treatment and management of opportunistic infections and other complications associated with pediatric transplantation including CMV, fungal infections, and thrombotic microangiopathy.
• Understand the role of immunotherapies including T cell therapies, microbiome and age on transplant outcomes and infectious complications.
• Research gaps in transplant ID.
• Understand how different immunosuppressive agents predispose to specific infectious diseases.
