osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) Preceptor Training is organized by A.T. Still University (ATSU) and would be held on Oct 18, 2017 at A.T. Still University, Kirksville, Missouri, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event for Attending physicians who currently or plan to supervise students and resident physicians performing OMM in clinical settings (DOs and MDs) Resident physicians who supervise student physicians performing OMM in clinical settings (DO and MD). This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 9 of AOA Category 1-A credits.
Course Description :
A full-day workshop and training session on the ACGME osteopathic recognition requirements for teaching OMM, methodologies for supervising and teaching OMM, documenting and coding for OMM, and assessing OMM competencies.
Educational Objectives are :
• Review the OPP competencies and milestones indicating progression towards competency mastery
• Analyze and identify different methods for integrating OPP in scholarly activity and patient care activities
• Demonstrate types of OMT to use and teach to resident physicians in the hospital and outpatient settings and how to document and bill for OMM
• Describe the ACGME and CMS residency supervision requirements and describe how they relate toward reimbursement
• Identify different assessment methods for evaluating OPP competencies
