This annual dental convention dates back to 1948. Hurricanes Ivan (2004) and Katrina (2005) disrupted the annual event and influenced the decision to move the convention from the fall to spring. The 2017 edition of this conference falls on the same weekend as French Quarter Festival, a 4-day free festival celebrating New Orleans food, music, and people.
