Module IV: Gastroenterology is organized by Tarsus CNS and would be held during Sep 14 - 16, 2017 at Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile, Chicago, Illinois, United States of America.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this module, the participants will:
• Learn factors associated with intestinal permeability
• Discuss the consequences of inflammation on the neurological system
• Look at the effects of endocytic receptors, scavenger receptors & RAGE's have on the inflammatory response
• Learn the importance of the gastrointestinal tract's role in the immune system
• Know the crucial role that neurotransmitters have in the body & how they impact various organ systems
• Learn the many reasons why patients have a difficult time losing weight & keeping it off
• Have a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between the GI tract & neurotransmitter function
• Evaluate the role of diet & antibiotics in the management of gastrointestinal dysfunction
• Demonstrate the unique biochemistry of individual patients & examine the ramifications of nutrition, medications & stress on the immune system during the first years of life
• Explain the gastrointestinal system's interface with the environment
• Discuss the role of nutrition & digestion in the balancing of gut flora
• Identify the symptoms & diseases associated with yeast overgrowth
• Learn the causes of yeast overgrowth

Cancellations must be submitted in writing. If you are calling to cancel, for verification we will still require you to send an email to info@brainweek.org with your intent to cancel. You will receive confirmation of your cancellation via email.
We will offer a 100% refund within 72 hours from the time of purchase less $100 credit card processing fee.
After 72 hours, refunds will be less 50%. All refund requests must be made in writing and post marked or tax stamped no later than 90 days before the event.
No refund will be made if the request is made within 90 days of the educational event. Refunds will not be issued to non-show registrants.
Substitutions are always welcome in lieu of cancellation. No transfers to alternate events will be made if the request is submitted within 90 days of the original event.
Persons who register and fail to attend will not receive a refund. BRAINWeek, at its sole discretion, may transfer your registration to an upcoming conference or to a healthcare provider colleague. Cancellation of your conference registration does not automatically cancel your hotel room reservation. Please contact the hotel to cancel your room; penalties may apply.
