Midwest Pediatric Specialty Symposium : 2017 Pediatric Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat is organized by University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and would be held on Mar 24, 2017 at Michael F. Sorrell Center for Health Science Education, Omaha, Nebraska, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event basically for pediatricians, family practice physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, residents, and fellows caring for children with eye, ear, nose, or throat complaints. The Midwest Pediatric Specialty Symposium: 2017 Pediatric Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat will include clinical updates, didactic lectures, and case-based clinical discussions regarding pediatric ophthalmology and otolaryngology.
Registration Deadline : March 17, 2017
Objectives :
At the conclusion of this course, the participant should be able to :
1. Describe the current understanding of amblyopia and strabismus
2. Review the results of Current Studies on Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group
3. Describe the efficacy, dosing, and safety profiles of current and emerging treatment options for ophthalmologic diseases, especially pink eye, bacterial conjunctivitis, viral conjunctivitis and pediatric glaucoma
4. Discuss the utility of various surgical techniques for pediatric glaucoma and cataract management
5. Discuss unique ocular findings of abusive head trauma
6. Review the current clinical and surgical update on pediatric oculoplastics
7. Diagnose and manage chronic sinusitis
8. Discuss common etiologies of stridor in the pediatric population
9. Describe the differential diagnoses for congenital neck masses including thyroglossal duct cyst, enlarged lymph nodes, etc.
This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 8 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits offering.
