Mastering Pediatric Resuscitation : A Hands-on Simulation Based Course Including APLS Certification is organized by UC Davis Health System and would be held during Apr 27 - 28, 2017 at UC Davis Health System Medical Education Building, Sacramento, California, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event for for physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other allied healthcare professionals.This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 18.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Conference Objectives are :
• Assess and manage the pediatric patient with signs of life-threatening emergencies
• Choose appropriate interventions for the pediatric patient with cardiovascular,
respiratory, traumatic, surgical, metabolic, toxicological and CNS emergencies
• Apply pediatric procedural skills in the areas of airway management and vascular access
• Improve ultrasound use in pediatric patients
This activity is designed to increase knowledge, improve competence and performance, and change behavior regarding the diagnosis, treatment and management of the critically-ill and injured pediatric patient. Course participant evaluations and our community physician annual needs assessment survey have identified the need for up-to-date information about pediatric resuscitation. Topics to be presented include instruction in critical pediatric procedures, neonatal emergencies, non-traumatic surgical emergencies, hands-on interactive skills stations, and ultrasound use in pediatrics. This conference will also include Advanced Pediatric Life Support (APLS) content and certification.
This year's conference will provide practitioners with evidence-based methods and strategies to assist them in providing better treatment options for their patients. Faculty presenting and interacting with participants at this activity have been selected on the basis of their comprehensive clinical experience and academic excellence.
