Management of Facial Trauma - Previously the Principles of Operative Treatment of Craniomaxillofacial Trauma & Reconstruction is organized by AOTrauma North America and would be held during Nov 11 - 12, 2017 at St. Louis, Missouri, United States Of America.

The target audience for this medical event for surgeons in training in the fields of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Otolaryngology, Plastics and Reconstruction, Ophthalmology and Oculoplastics. Practicing surgeons may also find this course beneficial.

The Management of Facial Trauma course is designed to equip surgeons with the state-of-the-art skills and techniques for treating and managing CMF fractures from trauma, as well as congenital defects, secondary correction of injuries and aesthetic reconstruction. Highlights of the course will include sessions on anatomy, biomechanics, surgical approaches and principles of internal fixation of the mandible and midface.

Experts in the field of CMF Surgery will compare and contrast current methods and provide indications for the use of these techniques. The modular course format will focus on the craniomaxillofacial patient in a conceptual case study and practical exercise format. Participants in small groups will rotate through each module over the two day course. These SGDs compliment both the lectures and the practical exercises by discussing the four AO Principles of Fracture Fixation
