Introduction to Perioperative Point-of-Care Ultrasound is organized by American Society for Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine(ASRAPM / ASRA) and would be held during Feb 25 - 26, 2017 at Omni San Diego Hotel, San Diego, California, United States of America. The target audience for this medical event basically for physician learner, anesthesiologists, hospitalists, intensivists, and those practicing emergency medicine.

This new comprehensive course offers a unique opportunity to learn how to put into clinical practice the rapidly expanding uses of PoCUS as the 21st Century Stethoscope. In this two-day course, you will learn firsthand from international leaders the fundamentals of airway, lung, gastric, abdominal, and focused cardiac ultrasound.

Educational objectives :
After participating in this educational activity, participants should be able to:
• Integrate up-to-date PoCUS skills into daily clinical practice as the "21st-Century Stethoscope".
• Improve management of the critical patient or patient in shock.
• Diagnose acute respiratory complications of regional anesthesia such as pneumothorax and diaphragmatic paresis.
• Evaluate for patients with interstitial syndrome or pleural effusions.
• Manage challenging airway patients.
• Assess and diagnose patients with cardiopulmonary changes such as hypotension, hypoxia and shock
