Interventional Pulmonology in Cancer Patients : An Intensive Hands-On Course is organized by University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and would be held during Feb 16 - 17, 2017 at The University Of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event are board-eligible/certified pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, and trainees in pulmonary, critical care medicine and thoracic surgery who have an interest in interventional pulmonology. Educational Objectives
At the conclusion of this educational activity, the participant should be able to:
• Utilize appropriate lung cancer screening techniques according to national guidelines and standards (knowledge, competence, performance)
• Implement the appropriate work up for the lung cancer patients, using available staging modalities while understanding their individual limitations (knowledge, competence, performance)
• Describe the therapeutic options for management of airway tumors (knowledge, competence);
