OVERVIEW

IOTOD is a flagship educational initiative in addictions therapy. This 2-day interactive, patient-centric event focuses on in opioid dependence.

IOTOD is a key event in the European addictions calendar, providing key, practice-level education to over 300 international clinicians. GPs, psychiatrists, nurses and specialists across a number of areas (from addiction to hepatology) attend this 2-day meeting to receive practically focused and highly interactive education from an international faculty, on a range of topics including medication-assisted treatment, emergency overdose reversal and hepatitis C management.

This year aims to examine new opportunities to dynamically adapt treatment to the individual patient, through a number of case-based workshops, plenary sessions, panels and presentations by leading international experts. Highlights of this year's meeting include innovative new interactive sessions, including an OEND masterclass and a diagnostic patient mystery roleplay. The popular complex case study clinic will be featured, during which delegates will be invited to share difficult patient challenges for discussion with the expert panel and audience.

New for this year, our traditional 'Quality Manifesto' will now be interspersed throughout the conference. This has always provided delegates with numerous opportunities to submit commitments to best practice, and ultimately vote on which of the conference's key learnings they will take forward into your own clinical practice. By distributing these sessions throughout the conference, delegates will have more opportunities than ever to improve outcomes in opioid dependence.

Chair John Marsden will lead an internationally renowned faculty of experts to drive improvements through education about best-practice integrated care of patients with opioid dependence. A broad yet impactful programme is under development, including focus on the following topics through plenary lectures and engaging, interactive workshops :

• Opioid dependence
• Medication-assisted treatments (MATs)
• Diversion and misuse
• Hepatitis C virus (HCV)
• Preventing overdose
• Psychological comorbidities
