OVERVIEW
Imaging Warm-Up in Costa Rica is organized by University of California San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF) Continuing Medical Education and will be held during Dec 03 - 08, 2017 at Los Suenos Marriott Ocean and Golf Resort, Perez Zeledon, San Jose, Costa Rica.
The target audience for this medical event is Radiologists.This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 25.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Course Outline :
This week-long course is designed for radiologists in clinical practice, and will provide an overview and updates on clinically relevant topics in diagnostic imaging, as well as an up-to-date assessment of the clinical uses of imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, sonography, and imaging-guided procedures in the diagnosis of varied diseases. Ample time will be available for informal discussions with the course faculty
Conference Objectives :
• Recommend imaging approaches to traumatic and emergent conditions in adults and children, including conditions of the brain, cardiovascular, abdominal and musculoskeletal systems.
• Identify screening markers for oncologic conditions, including lung cancer, colorectal cancer, hepatic malignancy, and brain tumors
• Recognize common pitfalls in the imaging of critically ill patients, including imaging after loco-regional
therapies, neurovascular pathology and patients with suspected pulmonary embolism
• Differentiate between common and uncommon imaging manifestations of chronic disease, including injuries of
the aorta, vascular disease and thyroid conditions
•Implement protocols for new and developing topics, including imaging with low-dose techinques and the latest CT and MR protocols to evaluate the small and lower bowel.
