OVERVIEW
Imaging in the Canadian Rockies is organized by University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and would be held during Jul 30 - Aug 4, 2017 at Banff Springs Hotel, Banff, Alberta, Canada. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 26.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Course Outline :
This course is a diverse review designed for the practicing radiologist, with an emphasis on practical approaches for reading real-life cases in the daily clinical setting. Lectures focus on common diagnostic issues utilizing radiography, CT, MRI and Ultrasound as applied to abdominal, gynecologic, breast, thoracic and neuro imaging, as well as routine interventional procedures.
Course Objectives :
At the completion of this course, the attendee should be able to :
• Recognize common and uncommon patterns of diffuse lung disease and pulmonary infections on CT.
• Describe the use of cross-sectional imaging in the evaluation of abdominal emergencies, genitourinary abnormalities and renal tumors.
• Understand the diagnostic challenges in using ultrasound in the evaluation of thyroid nodules, 1st trimester pregnancy, and pelvic pain.
• Develop a practical approach to head and neck abnormalities on CT and MRI including patterns of lymphadenopathy, neck infections and parotid masses.
• Recognize important pitfalls in the interpretation of CT and MR angiography.
• Develop an understanding of up-to-date issues in breast imaging including evaluation of the axilla, the role of breast MRI, and updates in the BI-RADS system.
