OVERVIEW
Hot Topics in Gastroenterology : Updates for the Practicing Gastroenterologist is organized by University of South Florida (USF) Health and would be held on Feb 11, 2017 at Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS), Tampa, Florida, United States of America.
This course is specifically designed to meet the educational needs of gastroenterologists, surgeons, internal medicine physicians, family medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurses, as well as internal medicine residents and fellows. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 6 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Keeping with the long tradition of teaching excellence at the Division of Digestive Diseases and Nutrition, this course has been developed with special focus to the educational needs of health care professionals associated with the rapidly evolving specialty of gastroenterology. This one day course addresses today's burning topics in a lecture and discussion format. A distinguished faculty comprised of USF gastroenterologist affiliated with the Division of Digestive Diseases and Nutrition and an invited lecturer will present key topics highlighting their current state of practice while providing projection for the future. In addition we will introduce new faculty members, and highlight current research at the USF Division of Digestive Disorders.
Conference Objectives :
• Apply best management strategies for treatment of pancreatic fluid collections, and diagnostic tools in biliary strictures.
• Describe the strategies for cancer surveillance in inflammatory bowel disease.
• Provide adequate treatment for Hepatitis C, non-viral hepatitis, and cirrhosis.
• Describe the evaluation, and management of obscure gastrointestinal bleeding.
