Hospitalist and Emergency Procedures Course (Jun, 2017)

HPC provides the premier Hospitalist Procedures Live CME courses to teach clinicians how to perform the 20 most common bedside procedures needed to work in the ER, ICU and hospital wards. They are proven methodology that has successfully trained over 3,000 physicians and midlevel providers how to safely and competently perform these hospital procedures. Students learn the didactics via 17 online modules and then attend a one-day 100% hands-on procedural skills lab training with five instructors.

Objectives :
Students will learn the indications, contraindications, technique and complications for the 20 most common hospitalist procedures. Students will learn how to perform procedural sedation. Students will learn the basics of mechanical ventilation. Students will learn bedside ultrasound for diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures. Students will learn coding and documentation of procedures

Credit Designation :
The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 20AMA PRA Category 1 Credit. The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine designates the associated online activity for a maximum of 11.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit. The total CME for this course is 31.5 hours Category 1 CME credit.
