Hospital-Acquired Infections : Understanding the Magnitude and Needed Interventions

Hospital-Acquired Infections : Understanding the Magnitude and Needed Interventions is organized by European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID) and would be held during Mar 24 - 25, 2017 at Crowne Plaza Muscat, Masqat, Oman.

The target audience for this medical event for infectious diseases specialists, clinical microbiologists, paediatricians, respiratory specialists, intensive care doctors, infection control practitioners, pharmacists, doctors, and other specialties interested in all aspects of sepsis.

The workshop aims at reviewing existing knowledge, ongoing studies, identifying gaps and priorities for prevention and control of MDR HAI in LMIC with particular focus on Gram-negative bacteria, respiratory and bloodstream infections. After discussing the design of high quality studies (including randomized controlled trials) to test agreed interventions, participants will continue discussions in their home institutions and become involved in developing further studies to advance knowledge and introduce interventions to reduce the burden of HAIs.
