OVERVIEW

GALEN Advanced Course on Cardio-Thoracic Cross-Sectional Imaging is organized by European School of Radiology (ESOR) and would be held during Sep 28 - 29, 2017 at Crowne Plaza Heidelberg City Centre, Heidelberg, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany.

The target audience for this medical event are senior residents and recently board-certified radiologists. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 9 Credits.

The purpose of the course is to consolidate the knowledge in chest and cardiac radiology and to provide an integrated view into state-of-the-art cardio-thoracic cross-sectional imaging. The course is focused on the advanced applications of CT and MR in chest and cardiac imaging.

The range of topics covers the clinically challenging areas of cardio-thoracic radiology such as imaging of patients with pulmonary infections or nodules, interstitial pneumonias, airway disease, pulmonary hypertension, coronary heart disease, cardiomyopathies, and valvular disease.

Conference Objectives are :
• to become familiar with the latest technical and methodological advances
• to understand the diagnostic and prognostic value provided by state-of-the-art radiology
• to consolidate knowledge about the current best practice indications for patients with challenging pulmonary and cardiac pathology
• to learn about the increasing role of imaging biomarkers
