OVERVIEW
European School of Radiology (ESOR) Course for European Diploma in Radiology (EDiR) on Breast Imaging is organized by European School of Radiology (ESOR) and would be held on Nov 8, 2017 at ESR Learning Centre, Wien, Austria. The target audience for this medical event for board-certified radiologists, wishing to update their knowledge in a specific area. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 6 European CME credits.
The ESOR Courses for EDiR are intended to help prospective candidates to prepare for the European Diploma in Radiology examination. Attendance does not guarantee acceptance to take the examination or success in the examination.
Course Objectives:
• to understand the role of modern imaging techniques – mammography, ultrasound and MRI in diagnosis of breast diseases, including nipple discharge and other symptoms.
• to be acquainted with specific features of advanced ultrasound and MRI in diagnosis of breast cancer, choosing treatment, and follow-up after treatment.
• to appreciate the need of structured reporting to understand how to communicate breast imaging findings to patients.
• to understand the role of imaging guidance in breast biopsies and minimally invasive therapy of breast cancer.
