European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) Signalling and Endomembranes Workshop

European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) Signalling and endomembranes workshop is organized by European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) and would be held during May 8 - 12, 2017 at Hotel Flamingo Resort, Pula, Sardegna, Italy.

Endomembrane compartments are a key feature of mammalian cells. We now have a relatively good understanding of the machinery connecting and maintaining these compartments through membrane trafficking. Similarly, our understanding of signaling pathways has made tremendous progress. How membrane trafficking and signal transduction pathways are integrated is now an emerging field, with evidences suggesting that signaling to and from endomembranes is an essential aspect of cellular life. Numerous human diseases are caused by deregulation of signaling molecules and/or membrane trafficking. Therefore, it is of great importance to gain a better understanding of the interplay between the two. The aim of this EMBO Workshop is to bring together scientists working in both fields to stimulate discussions and the exchange of knowledge, concepts and methodology.
