Endoscopic Port-Access Mitral Valve Repair Drylab Training is organized by European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS) and will be held during Dec 14 - 15, 2017 at Maastricht University Medical Center (MUMC), Maastricht, Limburg, Netherlands.
Course Objectives are :
• Indication and results of minimally invasive mitral valve repair.
• Patient selection.
• Surgical repair techniques.
• Complications.
• Gain familiarity and knowledge in instrumental necessities for endoscopic mitral valve repair.
• Practice and learn the basic techniques in endoscopic surgery for mitral valve repair on high-fildelity simulators.
• Mitral valve repair using annuloplasty ring and neochords on high-fidelity simulators.
Capacity :
• Maximum of 12 participants for each drylab working on 6 high-fidelity simulators
• Please note that we a require a minimum of 4 participants for this course to proceed.
