Emergency Radiology is organized by European School of Radiology (ESOR) and would be held during Aug 25 - 26, 2017 at Associacao Medica de Minas Gerais/Medical Association of Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
The course is aimed at participants from Brazil, in particular last-year residents, board-certified radiologists and fellows interested in emergency radiology. It is designed to provide an in-depth review and an update on relevant aspects of imaging diagnosis of the most important traumatic and non-traumatic emergencies, including brain injury and stroke, head and neck emergencies, chest trauma and pulmonary embolism, acute aortic syndrome, acute abdomen, mesenteric ischemia, female pelvis emergencies, abdominal paediatric trauma and sports injuries. An outstanding European and Brazilian faculty will ensure a high-quality teaching programme, combining lectures and workshops, allowing for interactive case discussions.
Objectives:
• to appreciate the potential of advanced imaging in the clinical management of traumatic injuries
• to review state-of-the-art imaging strategies and criteria available in the detection and characterisation of acute abdominal conditions
• to address the most important clinical questions, which need to be answered, in optimising management of patients with acute chest problems
