The Edinburgh Haematopathology Tutorial takes place annually and is designed to provide a practical approach to different topics in Haematopathology. This year’s tutorial explores the relevance of phenotype and genotype in lymphoma diagnosis, with particular emphasis on aspects relevant to the updated WHO classification of Haematological Malignancy. Various areas of lymphoma pathology will be addressed, each area having a common genotypic or phenotypic theme.
These will include:
• Lymphomas with a T-follicular helper phenotype
• Lymphoproliferations with a natural killer cell phenotype
• Implications of a cytotoxic phenotype
• Prevalence and significance of MYC-expression and MYC-gene abnormalities, including the double hit/triple hit saga
