Critical Care Ultrasound: Integration Into Clinical Practice is organized by American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) and would be held during Nov 10 - 12, 2017 at American College of Chest Physicians, Glenview, Illinois, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event for Physicians in critical care, emergency, hospital medicine, and internal medicine; anesthesiologists; pulmonary and critical care medicine fellows and residents; advanced practice providers, and certificate of completion learners are encouraged to attend. Conference Objectives :
After participating in this educational activity, you should be able to:
• Discuss the knowledge base required to perform whole-body ultrasonography in critically ill patients.
• Demonstrate and practice skills for integrating bedside echocardiography with general critical care ultrasonography.
• Practice existing ultrasound protocols for the diagnosis and management of critically ill patients.
• Develop a management strategy for patients with shock and respiratory failure using a whole-body ultrasound approach.
• Perform ultrasound-guidance for key procedures such as vascular access, pleural drainage, and peritoneal drainage as applied in critically ill patients.
• Perform image acquisition of the thorax, abdomen, and vascular structures.
• Interpret ultrasound images of the thorax, abdomen, and vascular structures.
• Demonstrate ultrasound-guided vascular access, pleural drainage, and peritoneal drainage using state-of-art simulators and task trainers.
