OVERVIEW
Comprehensive Pleural Procedures is organized by American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) and would be held during Aug 04 - 05, 2017 at CHEST Global Headquarters, Glenview, Illinois, United States of America. The target audience for this medical event is basically for Pulmonary and critical care fellows, physicians, intensivists, thoracic surgeons, and advanced practice providers are encouraged to attend. This CME conference has been approved with 14.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Learning Objectives :
After participating in this educational activity, you should be able to:
• Analyze the indications, contraindications, proper techniques, and complications of ultrasound-guided thoracentesis, pleural manometry, tunneled indwelling pleural catheter placement, small bore and standard chest tube placement, pleuroscopy/thoracoscopy, and endobronchial valve placement.
• Identify intrathoracic anatomy both ultrasonographically and visually, and develop an appreciation for ultrasonographic and visual correlation.
• Utilize radiographic, ultrasonographic, clinical history, and pleural fluid analysis to construct reasonable approaches diagnostically and therapeutically to common pleural disease problems.
• Interpret pleural cases, and identify common pitfalls when doing comprehensive pleural procedures.
• Demonstrate complex pleural procedures on appropriate inanimate models, including human cadavers.
