Conference Objectives :
• Develop a systematic approach to recognize pathologic entities in small bowel and accurately classify colorectal polyps and assess malignancy in this setting
• Recognize Barrett’s related dysplasia and learn about the classification of IBD and IBD-related dysplasia with respect to current management guidelines
• Apply the modified Gleason grading system and the new prostate cancer grading system Discuss best practices for prostate cancer staging and reporting
• Apply appropriate diagnostic criteria for the evaluation of flat and papillary lesions of the urinary bladder
• Develop a systematic approach to eosinophilic renal neoplasms
• Distinguish benign mimickers of prostate cancer and prostate cancer mimics of benign
• Develop a practical approach to surgical pathologic and cytologic diagnosis of follicular patterned thyroid neoplasms

The Cleveland Clinic Multispecialty Pathology Symposium will focus on practical discussions of commonly encountered dilemmas in surgical pathology and cytology. The goal is to provide evidence-based guidance on the diagnosis and management of challenging cases in esophageal disease, inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal polyps, prostate, kidney, and bladder lesions, neoplastic and inflammatory lung diseases, soft tissue tumors, head and neck pathology and cytology, and urine cytology. This symposium will help practicing pathologists, fellows, and residents maintain, develop, and increase their knowledge, competence, and professional performance with the intent to improve patient care and reduce disease impact.
