Blended Introduction to Transcranial Doppler Ultrasound is organized by Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute Inc. and would be held on Feb 10, 2017 at Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute, Saint Pete Beach, Florida, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event for Sonographers, physicians, physician assistants and other medical professionals learning how to perform and/or interpret transcranial doppler examinations. Participants may include (but are not limited to) those involved with internal medicine, cardiology, radiology, neurology, general/vascular surgery, and primary care. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 17 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Blended Introduction to Transcranial Doppler is designed to provide a strong foundation to perform and/or interpret Transcranial Doppler and Transcranial color flow imaging examinations. This Intro to TCD course includes a comprehensive online course to cover all of the didactics combined with a 1 day extensive hands on scanning workshop featuring a 3:1 hands-on ratio using live models and an interactive pathology simulator.
Conference Objectives :
• Increase participant's knowledge to better perform and/or interpret TCD/TCI examinations.
• Demonstrate standard scan techniques for performing a TCD and TCI exam.
• Recognize normal and abnormal intracranial Doppler spectral waveform characteristics
• Apply diagnostic criteria for TCD/TCI interpretation
• State the clinical applications and limitations of TCD/TCI examinations
• Increase knowledge and confidence to integrate the skills learned in a clinical setting.
