OVERVIEW
Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association Trauma & Infection Meeting is organized by Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association (APOA) and would be held during Mar 30 - Apr 02, 2017 at Le Meridien Putrajaya, Putrajaya, Malaysia.
Trauma forms the most important part of Orthopaedic Surgery. In many ways most of us signed up to orthopaedic training because we were so taken by the biology and mechanics of trauma care. Trauma encompasses all parts of the orthopaedic anatomy and all age ranges from infants to pensioners. Though specialisation is the key to developing a pure understanding of an area, it is important that every trauma surgeon or allied health professional be exposed to the many different fields of trauma care. This will not only aid us in understanding the underlying principles that govern the treatment of different cases, but also allow us to better serve our patients. This meeting is designed so that we can cover a limited of set of topics greater detail through instructional course lectures. There will also be opportunities for surgeons to bring cases for forum discussion, providing a greater width with specific end-points. With this we hope that the model can be replicated at subsequent venues andyet remain fresh.
