OVERVIEW
AOSpine Advanced Level Specimen Course is organized by AO Foundation and would be held during Jun 29 - 30, 2017 at AMTS Academy for Medical Training and Simulation, Muttenz, Basel - Landschaft, Switzerland.
The target audience for this medical event for advanced spine surgeons with at least 5 years of experience in spine surgery.
The aim of this course is to give participants a foundation of practical skills on commonly performed tasks during posterior cervical, thoracic and lumbar spinal procedures as well as anterior and lateral procedures. Since theoretical sessions will be provided online prior to the course there will be lecutres during the course in order to focus only on practical experience.
Conference Objectives are :
• C1-C2 fixation
• Lateral mass screw insertion in the subaxial cervical spine
• Cervical pedicle screw placement
• Anterior cervical corporectomy
• Anterior approach of the cervico-thoracic junction
• Postero-lateral approach in thoracic spine (Costotransversectomy)
• Anterior lateral approach of the thoraco-lumbar junction
• Osteotomies (thoracolumbar)
• Iliosacral fixation
• Anterior and lateral lumbar approaches (ALIF, TDR, etc.)
