Advanced EMR and ESD workshop: Hands-on training with live porcine models is organized by European Association for Gastroenterology, Endoscopy and Nutrition (EAGEN) and would be held during Sep 28 - 29, 2017 at ICVS - Life and Health Sciences Research Institute, Barcelos, Braga, Portugal. The target audience for this medical event basically for Gastroenterologists.

Course Description
Fully equiped live porcine model workstations
Limited participation (3 per workstation)
Twelve hours of hands-on training per team
One-on-one hands-on instructions and teaching from highly skilled experts in the field

Teaching Focus
Esophageal EMR using multiband mucosectomy
Esophageal, gastric and colonic ESD
Complication Management
The focus of this workshop will be mainly hands-on training on a higher level than the basic training courses and participants will be actively participating in setting learning objectives and subject to assessment of acquired skills.

ESD and EMR techniques are increasingly practiced in Europe. We have developed a basic training course that has been organized successfully now for the last 5 years. There is a growing need for advanced training to a higher level of expertise for an increasing group of endoscopists. To fulfil this need we will start organizing a continuation course to take training to the next level.

This workshop is intended for experienced endoscopists who have already participated in a previous live animal workshop on EMR and ESD and perhaps have limited experience in human ESD and wish to pursue their career in this field.
