OVERVIEW

Fifth State of the Science Cancer Survivorship Research Symposium is organized by University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and would be held on Feb 16, 2017 at MD Anderson Cancer Prevention Center, Houston, Texas, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event are Researchers, Physician-Scientists – across many clinical specialties, Advanced-Level Providers, Health care system leaders, Trainees, fellows, and undergraduate students, Health care professionals of all disciplines interestedin the current and future benefits of mobilehealth technology.

The principle goal of this course is to bring together clinicians and scientists to discuss current trends in survivorship research and interpret its application into clinical practice.

Educational Objectives
• Provide trends, opportunities, or challenges posed by survivorship science to improve outcomes oflong-term cancer survivors
• Assimilate and translate new research findings to improve providers’ practice and survivors’ quality of life
• Extend knowledge and competence of providers and researchers in advancing cancer survivorship research
• Demonstrate appropriate multidisciplinary collaboration for research studies that will ensure delivery of evidence-based practice and care for cancer survivors
• Identify directions for future research to promote safe and high quality survivorship care related to lateeffects, psychosocial function, surveillance, and prevention
