50th Annual National Conference of Indian Dietetic Association (IDACON)

50th Annual Conference of Indian Dietetic Association (IDACON) is organized by Indian Dietetic Association (IDA) and will be held during Dec 18 - 20, 2017 at Science City Kolkata, Kolkata, West Bengal, India.

Conference Description :
Good nutrition is a basic building block of human capital and, as such, contributes to economic development. In turn, sustainable and equitable growth in developing countries will convert these countries to "developed" states. There is much evidence that nutrition and economic development have a two-way relationship.

Improved economic development contributes to improved nutrition (albeit at a very modest pace), but more importantly, improved nutrition drives stronger economic growth.

Course Aims and Objectives :
• To promote the cause of science by encouraging the spirit of active pursuit of knowledge and original scientific research particularly in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• To facilitate social, scientific and cultural fellowship and cultivation of goodwill among its members.
• To promote close contact and interaction between persons following different branches and thus facilitate the development of a wider outlook and the integration and application of available scientific knowledge for the welfare of society.
• To safeguard the interests of scientists generally and its members in particular and work for their welfare.
• The IDA Members and the Executive Committees at the National and Chapter levels are working towards the betterment of Nutrition & Dietetics profession.
