OVERVIEW
3rd Annual Advanced Lateral Approaches to the Spine is organized by Seattle Science Foundation (SSF) and would be held on Feb 25, 2017 at Seattle Science Foundation, Seattle, Washington, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event are neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons, both current and in training, who participates in the surgical care of patients with spinal conditions in the United States. This CME conference has been approved with a maximum of 9 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
The 3rd Annual Advanced Lateral Approaches to the Spine is targeted towards healthcare providers who treat surgical spinal conditions utilizing the lateral approach. Leading experts in the field will come together to discuss spinal surgery management and the implemen-tation of the lateral approach. The design is to focus on the future of spine surgery and pros and cons of lateral surgery with the goal of improving patient care and outcomes.
Objectives
By attending this course, the participant will provide better patient care through an increased ability to:
• Discuss basic lateral anatomy when approaching the lumbar spine
• Recognize the risks and complications associated with the lateral approach
• Describe benefits of the lateral approach
• Discuss new applications of the lateral techniques
