21st Annual Interdisciplinary Conference on Supportive Care, Hospice and Palliative Medicine is organized by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and would be held during Oct 13 - 14, 2017 at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center - Houston, Texas, United States Of America.

Target Audience
This program should be of interest to palliative care or hospice physicians, oncologists, internal medicine physicians, family practice physicians, psychiatrists, and/or anesthesiologists. Other professionals including: hospice, nursing, psychology, chaplaincy, ethics, and/or sociology. This cme conference has been approved with a maximum of 15.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Objectives
• Provide effective communication with patients in the advanced stages of cancer or debilitating disease and provide quality End-of-Life Care (knowledge, competence, performance, patient outcomes);
• Identify and interpret the moral and ethical dilemmas encountered in palliative care, incorporating supportive care strategies to improve patient care (knowledge, competence, performance, patient outcomes);
• Practice state-of-the-art pain and symptom management for patients with advanced disease (knowledge, competence, performance, patient outcomes);
• Apply palliative care principals to life threatening disease in populations not limited to cancer patients (knowledge, competence, performance).
