OVERVIEW
21st Annual Conference on Emergencies and Challenges in Primary Care is organized by Symposia Medicus and will be held during Dec 15 - 16, 2017 at New York Hilton Midtown, New York, United States of America. This CME conference has been approved for a maximum of 12 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Course Description
Our 21st Annual Conference on Emergencies & Challenges in Primary Care has been designed to provide Physicians, nurse practitioners, PAs, nurses, and other health care professionals involved in primary care with evidence-based information on commonly encountered office dilemmas, and offers current approaches to clinical management. The goal of this conference is to increase knowledge and enhance the competence of attendees. Emphasis will be placed on practical application of the evidence-based topics presented.
Topics for this year’s conference have been selected based on the educational needs determined from the identified professional practice gaps. The gaps were derived from a variety of sources including evaluations and outcomes data from past participants; clinical expert input; Symposia Medicus’ online survey; and other medical and nursing data.
Course Objectives
• Recognize fibromyalgia, in its many manifestations, mimicking systemic inflammatory connective tissue disease
• Develop a structured approach to modifying the standard acetylcysteine regimen in patients with acetaminophen overdose
• Initiate the evaluation of a potentially dangerous skin disease
• Distinguish seizures from other paroxysmal events
