15th International Conference on Long-Term Complications of Treatment of Children and Adolescents for Cancer is organized by St Jude Children's Research Hospital and would be held during Jun 15 - 17, 2017 at Emory Conference Center Hotel, Atlanta, Georgia, United States Of America.
The target audience for this medical event for pediatric hematologists/oncologists, pediatric nurse practitioners, pediatric psychologists, pediatric oncology nurses, pediatric oncology social workers, medical oncologists, family practice physicians, fellows, residents, interns, clinical research associates and other primary care providers, as well as scientists in non-clinical fields such as public health, the social sciences and laboratory sciences.This cme conference has been approved with a maximum of 13.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
The 15th International Conference on Long-Term Complications of Treatment of Children and Adolescents for Cancer will focus on the exchange of innovative ideas among medical and pediatric oncologists (including fellows and residents), nurse practitioners, oncology nurses, and other associated allied health professionals. In the past, healthcare providers from Europe, Asia, Australia, South America, Canada and the United States have attended. This year’s symposium is designed to present the latest scientific and clinical advances regarding the science and ethics of genomic testing.
The speakers are leaders in their respective disciplines and will present up-to-the minute information that will make for a lively and productive meeting. Conference Objectives are :
• Describe the use of restriction enzymes for DNA sequencing
• Discuss what a rare polymorphism
• Explain what infrastructure is necessary for GWAS
• Describe when a genetic test is no longer a research test
• Discuss the difference between research and clinical incidental findings
• Explain the extent of institutional liability for violations of CLIA or federal regulations
• Discuss the resources necessary to provide genetic counseling to survivors of childhood cancer
