Wilderness Medical Society (WMS) Patagonia Remote Medicine Expedition is organized by Wilderness Medical Society and would be held during Mar 2 - 13, 2016 at Bariloche, Rio Negro, Argentina.
The targeted audience for this medical event basically for physicians and physicians in training, mid-level providers, nurses and techs, and pre-hospital providers. The purpose of this conference is to train health care professionals in the treatment of injuries in austere environments as well as essential skills to safely navigate the backcountry terrain. This CME conference has been approved with a maximum of 14.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Conference Objectives are :
* Establish a set of treatment priorities for care of the sick or injured in wilderness settings.
* Demonstrate basic aspects of improvised care, rescue and evacuation.
* Learn basic field skills enabling a physician to be more capable in a ssetting remote from definitive care.
