Fall Wine Weekend at Wintergreen Resort is organized by Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Dentistry Continuing Education and would be held during Oct 14 - 15, 2016 at Wintergreen Resort, Wintergreen, Virginia, United States of America. The target audience for this medical event basically for Dentists, Dental Professionals.

Day 1 : Friday, October 14th
Presentation Title : Perio Patient Information Management: The Science, Forms and Motivation to Improve Patient Outcomes and Practice Incomes.
The preferred risk-based approach to periodontics means that there are patients who are more likely to get periodontal disease and those in whom it is more important to prevent it. This presentation will give you the knowledge and materials to identify, educate, motivate and treat these patients most effectively.
Objectives :
Upon completion of the presentation, participants should be able to :
• Fully understand the role inflammation plays in oral and overall health
• Learn the new message of dentistry which can more effective educate and motivate patients
• Develop a risk-based diagnostic protocol that works
• Develop in-office materials to better educate and motivate patients
• Develop a strategy to stay current with evolving research concerning oral/overall health links
Day 2 : Saturday, October 15th
Presentation Title : The Language of Medicine for Dental Professionals: How to Talk Confidently with Your Medical Colleagues About the Oral Systemic Link.
When it comes to the links between oral and overall health, everyone says collaboration with medicine is important. But, no one explains what that means. Until now! This presentation is intended to get dental professionals caught up on the language of medicine.
Objectives :
Upon completion of the presentation, participants should be able to :
• Fully understand the inflammatory link between oral and overall health
• Learn an efficient diagnostic system for identifying patients with systemic health concerns
• Master the medicine knowledge necessary to collaborate with medical colleagues
• Learn which lab test to order for patients and how to interpret the results
• Develop a practice management protocol to use the oral/systemic link to increase case acceptance and to increase referrals from medicine
This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 6 CEUs credits offering.
