Updates in Inflammatory Bowel Disease is organized by University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF) Continuing Medical Education and would be held during Nov 11 - 12, 2016 at St. Regis San Francisco, San Francisco, California, United States of America. The target audience for this medical event is designed for gastroenterologists, colorectal surgeons, internists, and allied health professionals who participate in the management of this complicated patient population. Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, attendees will refine their approach to:
• the level of therapy that is appropriate for the patient with moderate to severe IBD;
• the level of therapy that is appropriate for the postoperative Crohn’s patient;
• applying endoscopic scoring systems to every day practice;
• endpoints of therapy for IBD; • interventions for J pouch dysfunction;
• recognizing infectious complications of IBD;
• discussing novel therapies and biosimilars with their patients;
• prescribing medical therapy for the elderly patient with IBD.
