OVERVIEW
The UCLA Department of Radiology in collaboration with lead physicians from both Departments of Sports Medicine and Rheumatology is proud to offer an intensive and comprehensive hands-on learning opportunity. The MSK Ultrasound Course and Workshop review the pertinent theoretical and practical points of upper and lower extremity ultrasound. This weekend course features, in addition to MSK ultrasound basics, up-to-date topics such as muscle injuries and MSK ultrasound economics followed by panel discussions with audience participation.
The course also utilizes a live split screen to demonstrate basic MSK sonography techniques creating optimal imaging essential for accurate clinical application. The inclusive interactive, hands-on workshop provides an opportunity to master the techniques through small group training with subspecialists.
The additional option of specialty training in the Cadaver Lab is ideal in providing real life, real time training of ultrasound guided procedures to expand the clinical scope of care for attendees. The hands-on practical day is taught by subspecialists covering injection techniques in and about the upper and lower extremity joints.
